Our friends at Sup Jam in Beijing asked me to be their photographer for their store opening event two weekends ago. I finally got around to sort out the images. Here’s some highlights from the launch event. The turn out was very successful. Keep up the great work guys!

Everyone that’s been asking me where you can buy Sistine tees in Beijing, Sup Jam’s got you covered. They’re located in 798 Art District, Taoci Yi Jie (Porcelain One Street). But of course, don’t forget that we ship worldwide if you decide to purchase from our online shop directly.

Ms. Liu Wen was here reading a few excerpts from her poetry anthology. Check out her blog here.

It doesn’t get much more gansta than this. Seriously.

We had to grab a photo of this guy because dude look identical to the guy on the tee he just purchased.

Sup Jam crew. Congrats on the store launch guys!

London-based photographer Holger Pooten had this to say when asked how his style of photography differs from everything else out there: “I think having a concept for your work is becoming more and more important. 30 years ago you bought yourself a Hasselblad and were, by definition, a pro photographer. Ok, not quite, but today it’s very easy for anyone to produce technically sophisticated results as cameras and computers get cheaper and better. That means technical quality is not what sets you apart from the masses, it’s your ideas!”

This is becoming more true in in almost any industry nowadays. It’s the ideas and contents that separates the good from the bad and the great from the good.

The weather’s perfect for some traveling now, enjoy it before the dreadful summer heat arrives. Here’s some nice pieces to pick up for the spring from last week’s new releases.
Summer’s just around the corner, can’t always be wearing a tee though. This Junya Watanabe COMME des GARCONS MAN x Brooks Brothers button-down shirt got you covered for something a little more dressed up.

Another refresh of the minimalist Alife chukka style sneaker. I’m a big fan of the teal color-way.

Dress up or dress down, slim ties can really pull together a look. Only 20 of the handmade ties were produced for this limited-edition from General Knot & Co.

This is a pair of sweats I can see myself wearing out. From Stone Island Shadow Project, available now at Haven.

This is my favorite pair of slip on mid-top sneakers from Ubiq. Available at the end of April at select retailers.

Oliver People’s one of my favorite frame makers and this here is a special edition for Takahiromiyashita. Tortoise is back.

I love MUJI’s minimal designs and recently I’ve become a fan of hardcase suitcases. This is a match made in heaven. Available in two sizes, 56L or 72L for approximately $176 and $236 respectively.

I love products that ages well. This organic canvas backpack designed by Joshu+Vela is got a clean and simple profile that will surely age beautifully with time.

It’s pretty common nowadays to walk around and see someone swinging a DSLR around his neck. Digital cameras have certainly made the entry into photography much easier. We’ve been running a Foto Friday feature every week but today I want to do something a little different and show you this SLR camera cleaning tutorial. Lens is perhaps the most important part of a SLR but few can really say they know how to properly clean their camera lens.

Logo design is perhaps the most difficult kind of design. It is the face and persona of every company. A good logo should be simple and effective. It should not be complicated yet it needs to convey everything that represents who you are as a brand.

The people behind Dorothy are working on a series of paintings that strip famous logos back to their basic graphic forms. All of these iconic logos have one thing in common. They are simple and effective. Even without their font, you can still recognize them instantly.
