Ever since we started Sistine, I have taken a stronger interest in photography. Perhaps it has to do with our own shoots or just thinking a bit more about snapping photos for the blog. Today, I am introducing something new that I will be posting every Friday, I’m calling it “Foto Friday”. Yes, I came up with that all by myself.

The idea is that I will share with you some extraordinary photography from some very talented photographers out there. Every week I will showcase a group of images from one photographer. To start off, our featured model in these photos today is a 91-year-old Hungarian grandmother. The genius behind the lens is French photographer Sacha Goldberger.

The story goes like this. “Sacha found his 91-year-old Hungarian grandmother Frederika feeling lonely and depressed. To cheer her up, he suggested that they shoot a series of outrageous photographs in unusual costumes, poses, and locations. Grandma reluctantly agreed, but once they got rolling, she couldn’t stop smiling.”

There’s something about these images that just speaks life and joy, it’s witty and powerful at the same time. Not to mention, that is one awesome grandma.
